Consultation + Information = Transformation: Empowering Pediatricians to Address Mental Health Needs

Families develop long-term relationships with their pediatrician. That relationship helps promote effective, consistent care. Pediatricians are well educated to meet the medical needs of their patients, but are less comfortable addressing mental health needs. The nature and experience of pain is not universal, nor are the characteristics of each child and family. That’s why varied and comprehensive expertise is paramount. We were one of the first pediatric hospitals to recognize the need for better ...more »

Healthy Food School Mandate

There should be a mandate for all public schools to teach nutrition and provide only healthy food in cafeterias and vending machines.
